Kick-off time for the 24th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change, which is being held from December 3rd to 15th, 2018 in Katowice (Poland)!
The challenge has been built and defined since COP21, which gave rise to the Paris Climate Agreement, a major text in the United Nations resolution to begin the transition to a development that respects nature more.
Thus, the decision-makers meeting in Poland will have to decide on the concrete aspects of the Agreement, in order to limit the increase in temperatures maintaining it below 1.5°C. If many heads of state did not attend the first sessions because of the simultaneous holding of the G20, the various economic and political actors, as well as the scientists in attendance will have to propose feasible actions in the short term in order to initiate this ecological transition that the planet needs.
On this first day, Sir David Attenborough’s speech will be remembered, as he strongly mobilized Internet users from all over the world, to be discovered below.
